AUSTINMER HOUSE

Austinmer House is an ethereal steel framed new family residence in the Northern Illawarra region south of Sydney. The building has an expressed steel exo-skeleton that is exquisitely detailed. Unorthodox bolted steel connections were conceived and designed to ensure the fixings are generally concealed – a key architectural feature due to the expressed nature of the building. The building is founded on bedrock on a steeply sloping site.
