STRUCTURE have a strong history designing institutional buildings. These structures often require adaptive reuse of existing buildings that can sometimes be in excess of one hundred years old. This requires meticulous reviews of the existing building and historic documentation and careful design, planning and collaboration with the design team to ensure that the proposed works are delivered on time and within budget. Our most recent undertakings include aged care facilities, childcare centres, courthouses, police stations and public and private schools. Below is a summary of each of the structural services that we offer.
Often large and complex, our team has extensive experience designing new buildings and remodelling existing ones for the purposes of providing childcare facilities. Our childcare centre portfolio includes a new build facility in Sydney’s West, an adaptive reuse of an existing heritage-listed warehouse building, redevelopment of an existing church building and the complex refurbishment of a large residential building for the provision of childcare services. Working within the boundaries of strict Local Council, Heritage and Fire Engineering controls, we have the required expertise to provide cost effective and efficient structural designs.
At STRUCTURE, we have substantial experience working with public schools, private schools and government learning centres. From small functional additions such as toilet block extensions to large scale multi-storey additions to existing campuses, we have the required background to assist with your needs.
We recently provided our services for NSW Public Works and Central Coast Local Health District to design and document upgrades to existing facilities at Wyong and Gosford Hospitals.
