At STRUCTURE, we have a strong history of providing structural design services to the landscape architecture sector. Working alongside landscape architects, landscapers, swimming pool consultants and playscape consultants we have assisted in the design of many contemporary public spaces. Below is a summary of each of the structural services that we offer.
Our services are not just limited to the structure itself but also the surrounding landscaping elements which can prove to be challenging while also pushing the envelope of conventional landscape design. As such we collaborate with landscape architects to design solutions for exterior elements such as swimming pools, retaining walls and carport structures.
We regularly provide structural design solutions for public spaces. Our recent projects include the design of a public viewing platform for Inner West Council, suspended walking tracks for National Parks and Wildlife Services, bespoke steel frames for vertical planted arbour structure and off-form concrete street furniture in the City of Sydney.
The residential swimming pool has long been a stalwart of Australian residential architecture. At STRUCTURE, we regularly undertake the structural design and documentation of bespoke swimming pools in complex shapes and sizes as well as traditional in ground pools. We understand that the design of a pool contributes greatly to the overall landscape architecture aesthetic and so we work closely with the landscape architect and builder to provide efficient and cost-effective solutions that comply with the most recent Australian Standards for water retaining structures.
We also specialise in the structural design of miscellaneous small-scale structures for public spaces such as playgrounds. Structures requiring design and certification by Local Councils include outdoor shelters, shade sails, pedestrian bridges and boardwalks, retaining walls, street furniture, park signage, light poles, play equipment and outdoor fitness stations.
